DEAR FRIENDS:
For the past year, I have been a resident of Joyce Hall Assisted Living at Presbyterian Village North here in Dallas. Prior to my move here, I had been collecting the discount coupons found in the Sunday paper from members of my church and delivering them to you at the Wilkinson Center. After my time here at Joyce Hall, word has spread so that now there are 20 plus residents who bring their coupon books to me each week. Five or six ladies gather Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays (if necessary). As they visit and sip coffee, they clip out the coupons. One of the gentlemen residents has dubbed us “The Cut-Up Girls.” Now that I am no longer driving, have been mailing the coupons each week, and several of the residents contribute to the cost of the postage. We feel so blessed to be able to do this small service for the Food Bank.
